General (a) These conditions shall apply to orders and contracts for the supply of equipment in the UK by the Company or its authorised Distributors to Customers and if there any qualifications or variations to the conditions it is important for the avoidance of doubt that such variations should be in writing in the space provided overleaf. (b) All orders for goods shall be deemed to be an offer by the Customer to purchase goods in accordance with these conditions. (c) The Company does not allow any of its representatives, distributors or advisors to alter these terms and conditions and the Customer should always ask for any alterations to be put in writing. (d) The Company accepts no responsibility for loss or damage caused by the Customers misuse of the goods. (The Customers statutory rights are not affected by this clause)
Terms of Payment (a) In the case of cash sales, payment of the total price (less any deposit already paid) shall be made by the Customer to the Company upon delivery of the equipment. (b) In the case of sales financed by the obtaining of a loan from a finance company, delivery of the equipment shall not take place until the finance company has approved the application for the loan. Upon delivery, the Customer shall sign such satisfaction note and/or other documents as may be required by the finance company concerned. (c) The Customer shall have the right within seven days of the date of this contract or the date of delivery (whichever shall be earlier) to cancel this contract, and such cancellation shall be in writing and the Company shall be entitled to retain the deposit paid by the customer a cancellation charge of twenty percent of the order value to a minimum of two hundred and fifty pounds.
Alteration of Design (a) The Company will use its best endeavours to supply the Customer with the exact goods ordered, but where this is not possible the company will notify the Customer as soon as possible of any alteration to the design and specifications of the equipment described in the sales literature and, where the alteration is fundamental to the goods ordered, the Customer may terminate this contract and any deposit will be returned.
Purchase of Equipment (a) The Company is under no obligation to buy back equipment. (b) The Company may purchase back equipment at their own discretion, depending on current market conditions.
Title (a) The goods shall remain the property of the Company until the price has been discharged in full. A cheque given by the Customer shall not be treated as a discharge until the same has been cleared. (b) The Customer will pay a deposit on signing the order in the amounts stated on this website, which is non-refundable unless the Company is in default of its obligations under this current contract and the Customer is not in default (subject to the provisions of clause 2 (c) above). (c) This agreement is deemed to have been entered into Greater Manchester and according any proceedings by the company arising out of in connection with this agreement shall be brought in Greater Manchester, however this clause shall not affect the rights to the customer to issue proceedings from any other county courtor other court in accordance with the rules of the court. (d) The Company will absorb any increase in the price of raw materials in connection with the manufacture of the goods and will charge no extra than the original specified contract price to the customer. |
Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
If you pay via RBS Worldpay we accept Visa, Visa debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard, MasterCard debit, Maestro, JCB and Solo. If you pay via PayPal, you can pay with your PayPal account, MasterCard/EuroCard, Visa/Delta/Electron, American Express, Switch/Maestro or Electron.
We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. If you do not wish to pay online, you may send your card information via phone, fax or by post.
If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.
When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable. |
Shipping And Handling
Scooters:
Delivery of all new scooters is FREE!. We will deliver your scooter to your home and carry out a full demonstration. We will then check over the scooter and take away the packaging. Once your order has been placed we will contact you shortly afterwards to arrange delivery.
Scooter Accessories:
Scooter accessories are delivered via TNT Express delivery. Delivery costs range from £5 to £10 per item, however when ordering accessories at the same time as a scooter, delivery is free. |
Delivery Schedule The company shall use its best endeavours to fulfil orders promptly but it cannot be responsible for any delays for matters outside its control. Our standard terms for delivery is 14 days from the order being processed. In the event that such delay shall be unreasonable the Customer shall be entitled to cancel the contract and receive a full refund. For the purpose of this clause, an unreasonable delay shall be in excess of eight weeks from the date of the contract. |
Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. |
Tax Charges All mobility scooters on our website are exempt from VAT. For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free. |
Credit Card Security When you buy from Active Mobility Scooters online, your payment is processed securely and quickly by RBS WorldPay or PayPal. RBS WorldPay processes millions of payments every day, for every type of business. |
Privacy Policy Active Mobility Scooters do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Returns Policy You may return mobility scooters 7 days from receipt of delivery. There will be a £60 restocking fee.
(a) The Customer shall not be entitled to return the goods supplied for any reason other than the warranty conditions or in accordance with the Customers statutory rights. (b) It is the Customers responsibility to make sure that they follow the correct operating procedures, a copy of which is supplied on delivery. (c) If the Company is called out by the Customer during the arranged guarantee period because of a fault in the goods, whether mechanical, electrical or otherwise, there will be no call-out charge the company will retrieve repair and return the product within 21 days. The Company reserves the right to make a call-out charge where the damage to the product has been caused by accident or misuse. |
